What type of gaming will you have?
BGX will have three types of games: video gaming, table top gaming and arcade gaming.
Video Games:
Enjoy classic video games all the way to the newest and latest gaming. We will have a variety of tournaments to choose from and prizes for 1st - 3rd place. You can expect to see: NES, SNES, N64, Wii, Wii U, GameCube, Switch, Xbox, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS, PS2, PS3 & PS4.
Arcade Games:
Big Fun Amusements of Beaver, West Virginia is generously bringing us their arcade cabinets for game play. Some arcade cabinets will be set to free play and some will require the classic 25 cent fee. We will also be hosting a series of Arcade Cabinet tournaments. You can even purchase the cabinets you see at the Expo!

We encourage all types of costumes at BGX! Come dressed as your favorite fandom character. We ask that you keep the costumes PG as this is a family-friendly event, no metal weapons and no projectile props. Costumes will be screened upon entry and BGX offers the right to refuse entry based on attire and/or props.

What is BGX?
The Beckley Gaming Expo is Beckley, West Virginia's Premier gaming experience. Enjoy a full day of non-stop video game, table top game and arcade cabinet tournaments.
Players from all over West Virginia and beyond will come compete in tournaments and have a chance of being crowned one of our BGX Champions.
Will there be food?
The Beckley-Raleigh County Convention Center offers a variety of concessions throughout the event, so come hungry!
Can I bring my own food and drinks?
Sorry, no can do! The convention center has it's own rules and one of them is no outside food or drinks. You can however bring a water bottle and fill it up at the water fountains!

How much are tickets and where can I get them?
Can I bring my own controller?
Of course you can, just remember, BGX is not responsible for lost or stolen items! Also note that some tournaments will require you use our controllers and not your own.
You can buy your tickets online, before the event or at the door the day of the event.

Are bags allowed?
Small bags and backpacks to carry controllers, figures and games is permissible.
Your bag will be subject to a bag check upon entry, no exceptions.
Do I have to purchase a ticket for myself if I am not playing any of the games?
Yes, regardless if you plan to participate in the events, all attendees must have a BGX ticket/wristband to enter the building.
